In December 2015, I led an expedition to Argentina. Our goal was Cerro Aconcagua (22,841′), the tallest mountain in South America. I climbed with Sarah Zerkel and Eric Francisco, who made strong and spirited teammates. We summited on December 28th, then rang in the new year in Mendoza, a gorgeous little Argentinian town. All told, we spent less than two weeks on the mountain.
